		<description>I long ago swapped out soda for tea so great suggestion there.  I might add that if you add sweetener or cream to your tea or coffee you&#039;ll defeat the purpose of switching from soda.

So watch out!

		<description>I started mixing my protein shakes with water rather than even skim milk because of the &quot;hidden&quot; calories in the milk.  

I have had no ill effects from a daily measured protein shake. Apart from water, it&#039;s the only liquid I take in.

 I like to have a daily shake preworkout with greens powder included in it (to supplement my veggie intake) but I definitely factor the protein shake calories accurately into my calorie count for the day.

Fruit juice is a wolf in sheep&#039;s clothing. Whole fruit is the go!

		<description>I agree, liquid calories aren&#039;t filling you up, so they are a bit of a waste, but they&#039;re so much better than water.  I think its ok to have them, but to use them as a treat instead of an everyday thing.</description>

		<description>People just don&#039;t realize how many calories are in juice.  They figure it&#039;s good for them, when it is actually playing havoc on their blood sugar levels, and increasing their caloric intake BIG TIME.  I always water my juice down for this reason.</description>
