I think the most common would be equipments that don't work, aimed at giving someone six pack abs. They can be anything from ab lounge chairs to vibrating belts!
Many of them do not understand that you need to exercise to remove the layer of fat on top of the abdominal muscles before you can have six pack. But the things you discussed here are genius. Truly.

With New Years right around the corner, you really might want to bring a lot of attention BACK to this post. New Years Resolutions cause the sales of these products to sky-rocket. As usual, the majority of folks are looking for the easy route (and boy, most of those products DO make it look easy, don't they?).

As you so perfectly said, the solution is found in treating the ROOT of the problem - but that is FAR less marketable than that "awesome" Ab Lounger, isn't it?

VERY enjoyable post!

Nick, forgot to mention my favorite... the Ab Circle Pro. It's the one that they say combines cardio and crunches.

It's got to be the craziest and most worthless piece of equipment ever. And what really gets me is that people buy this stuff up.

I've actually heard of a guy who bought this and the thing feel apart really quickly.

Anyway... good post and funny. I just wish that more people would get this through their skulls.
