		<description>I agree with the poster that said you should at least use bodyweight exercises as a base.
Too many guys hit the gym and start lifting well beyond what they are ready for and injur themselves. Do the body weight exercises and only if you platau head over to the weights.
I know a guy who just fills a backpack with textbooks though and uses that for extra resistance when he body weight trains too.</description>

		<description>@ X-Hardgainer Cory ABSOLUTELY. Weights make progressive resistance more convenient. However, there is ZERO excuse not to exercise. A couple coffee cans or water jugs, some chairs for doing decline pushups, etc. is all it takes.</description>

		<description>I did the same thing! I started lifting weights when I was 12. And I was so frightened that I&#039;d get pinned under the bar. I made a weight bench and safety stands all with wood and screws. I didn&#039;t have any power tools, so I did it all be hand. That was a workout in and of itself!</description>
