Bench Press Blueprint
Are you ready to blast your bench press?
Want to learn from a record-setting pro?
Dave Delisle and I wrote Bench Press Blueprint, which is Dave's exact routine that took him from 300 pounds in the bench all the way past 500 in less than a year.
Just the other day, he set a new PR of 545. Here's a guy benching 500+ pounds and he's only been seriously training for 3 years!

Looks great. Is that a natural program or we have to use steroids to go to that top levels.
Totally natural, there's not a mention of or need for steroids.
.-= billspaced´s last blog ..Building Muscle is the Name of the Bodybuilding Game =-.
Wow, really works in a short period, hard to believe. I think different people have different genes.
I just read the blueprint. I have been doing it wrong for so long now…
Thanks!
500+ pounds is very good. Especially after only 3 years!
Wow, is this really real? additional 200+ pounds in less than a year! That is awesome… within 3 years you can now 545 lbs? I wish I can do that too… I'm interested in this program. Has someone tried it already?
We just published it, so there hasn’t been a lot of feedback. However, this is exactly what Dave has done to get to where he is today. If you buy it, try it, and don’t like it, I’ll refund your money.
What is a good blueprint for a balsa wood building to support alot of weight… This sounds like a standard hands-on assignment for strength of materials class…it's pretty…
thats pretty impressive improvement from 300 pounds to over 500 hundred in just a couple years. Sounds pretty cool if I could turn my bench into something near that I would be very happy.
@skinny You’re prepared to visit whichever meet Dave enters? I’ll get his info and report back here.
Dave, what gym do you train at? Im just getting into powerlifting and would like to maybe get some training in with you. I agree with Skinny. It would be cool as hell to see you crushing that 545. Is it on Youtube or anything?
@ skinny Dave will be competing in Peabody, MA on May 22. Here’s the link – http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/powerlifting-meets/epf/2010/ma-may-madness
Dave will be here on May 22 – http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/powerlifting-meets/epf/2010/ma-may-madness
UPDATE: Dave obviously didn’t make the meet. He waited too long to enter and missed the deadline. Now for the fallout.
This is a joke! I have recently seen Dave train and struggle benching 315 for reps.
And yes he is a juice junky! Not even the best powerlifters in the world would claim a 200lb pr on there bench in 2 years.
So skinny, why do you hate Dave? Are you envious? You started on here by saying you’re a beginning weightlifter, now you’re sounding like a punk.
@ John Q – on the one hand you say he can barely bench 315 for reps (which is entirely different from a max single, but you should know this because you’re a pro, right?), and on the other you say he’s a juice junkie. Which is it? Are you telling me a guy who can barely bench 300 (according to you) is on roids? WTF would he do that for?
@ skinny This is my blog. It's not Dave's. Dave is a friend of mine. He works hard in the gym. If you don't like him, that's fine. But don't be a hater. You're obviously very pissed at him. Somehow, he's gotten under your skin. Why don't you say why? Why are you going to so much effort to put him down? If he's lying, why does it concern you so much?
Why the hate, man?
I'm going to refer you to this post – Do What Your Momma Taught You – with your next asinine comment, you will be subjected to my new comment policy. You're wasting my time being a jackass.
Why don't you put up a "Dave Delisle is a fraud" web site. Then he can sue your ass for defamation. And maybe he'll kick your ass in the process.
@Bill.
No Bill I am not A pro but I did see Dave struggle with 315×3 and 365 single within the last several months. No one goes from 365 to 545 in a year even on drugs. Not even Anadrol 50, the most powerfull strength steroid could do this in 3 months.
So tell the truth and stop trying to sell stupid kids a workout that will not do what you claim.
NOTE that skinny doesn't have any comments here any more. He's a rude asshole who has wasted my time and yours. If you don't like something I say here, leave. It's really simple. If you act like an ass, I will SPAM your ass and delete your comments. That goes for you, too, John Q
@ John Q I will keep your comment for now
I cannot speak to what you say you saw in the gym. If you don’t believe him, that’s fine. Next time you see him in the gym, why don’t you ask him about it?
Not sure I understand your comment about Androl 50 and 3 months…
The truth about what? The blueprint does tell the truth about how Dave trains. Whether he benches 600 or 300, 400, or 500, do the principles change? Can one, by using the principles in the blueprint add 200 pounds to your bench? Of course. Maybe not in 2 years, but the training specified is very similar to other professional lifters’ routines. They do similar workouts. Are you saying they’re liars, too? That they do something else?
This Blueprint is actually an eye-opener of sorts. You won’t find the exact routine of the best benchers in the world spelled out for you. Here, we do that.
Now, if you can refrain from pejorative comments, we can co-exist. Otherwise, you go the route of skinny.
All it looks like is that they were asking legit questions. If more then one person claims to have seen him miss 400 recently, why to you deleate there comments. Either he can,or he can't. Deleating comments will not hide the truth. There are other forums like outlawpowerlifting.com. Where their voice can be heard. Your actions just make your book look like a scam if you don't allow people to voice their opinion. I guess we will find out May 22nd. There will be a large contingent of local lifters going JUST to see Dave do the 545. If I was a business owner like yourself, I would encourage peoples opinions. If Dave does the 545,what better free publicaty then to have all the doubters eat crow. Word has it a owner of a prominent online pwerlifting magazine/site is going to be there to cover the meet,JUST BECAUSE OF THE DAVE HOOPLA. He will have the spotlight he has craved for years. Not all he has to do is proove the doubters wrong. C'mon Dave! Show "em what ya got!!!
@ I wanna big bench – I’ve been running this site for 3 years and up to now, I hadn’t deleted a comment (except for known SPAM in the Akismet database, that I override all the time because the comment is legit even if the “person” isn’t).
But these 2 guys were relentless in their disparagement of a fellow lifter and friend. It got pretty bad. What started out as innocent conjecture, which I encourage (I am a skeptic by nature), became vile. It was a one-way shouting match.
It’s my site, my blog, my time they were wasting. I don’t care for extreme negativity.
They are not welcome here any more and if that makes me a bad guy, then so be it. They haven’t poured their hearts and souls into this. I’m not sure what they do but cap on other people.
And as for the doubters eating crow if Dave does 545, they’re going to eat crow whether their comments are here or not. They know who they are, and so do others. People like them usually spout off at every occasion, so I’m sure a LOT of people will rub it in their faces when the time comes.
Your information claims that Dave is a record setting Bencher.
What records does he hold?
I just think it is important that if you are trying to sell a program based solely off of your success that you need to be honest and admit "Yes I took steroids" while using this program.
@ John Q – The program can be used successfully by lifters either using or not using. It’s kind of like anything else, right? But the principles are the same. Lift heavy or go home. The book was written because Dave wanted to share how he trains. He trains similarly to other top benchers. You won’t find this info coming from a lot of other lifters because, I guess, it’s some sort of secret.
Why don’t you do a little research and find out what records he holds? It’s very simple. Google powerlifter Dave Delisle.
At the end of the day, nobody is forced to buy the book. But results are guaranteed or your money back. Try the system. If it doesn’t work, ask for a refund. It’s that simple.
How did Dave do?
Dave screwed up and didn't enter before the deadline so he didn't get in.
He did say that he's got one big meet this summer that he's going to prepare for. I'll make a post on this site when I know what the details are.
Dave's in the process of making some training videos – here's one off YouTube of him deadlifting 740. No, it's not a 500+ pound bench press, but it does show some real power –
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc033NhrQDs
I'm sorry. Guy knows that people are gonna be watching and FORGETS TO ENTER? Convient. BTW, thats about 650 on that video. On a trap bar. Which is now where CLOSE to a REAL 740dl using a straight bar. How do I know? Because I have a legit 733dl on the books that was done with a legit sqaut and bench. With real judges. I'm sure I will probably get banned here for speaking the truth. I was willing to give the benifit of the doubt, but he just proved the other guys who were banned right. Talk is cheap. Don't say what you are GOING to do. Show me what you have done. This kid and you "Bill" are an embarrassment to the sport that I have competed in and loved for over 23 years. If Dave, you or whover want to "kick my ass" for spaeaking the truth.SuperDave knows who and where I am. If he would like to go head to head lifting, raw, gear whatever.Let me know. I don't need "sponsers" or made up books. I have EARNED the respect I have in this sport by actually DOING the lifts. Now go and ban me. I would LOVE to out you fakes on every other forum for the disguesting mockery you try to make of the sport I love.

Mike, yeah, it kind of ticked me off, too. Just so you know, you won’t be banned here for speaking the truth. Your comment will be deleted if you’re an ass. And my name is Bill. Not “Bill.” It’s not a made up book, either. It’s real. I’m passing your info on to Dave, since you say you know him….
Yeah,he was kicked out of my gym a few months ago for being a loadmouth a-hole. Ive seen what he can do. No where NEAR 500. He has a problem with my comments lifing or otherwise,he know where to find me.
ok mike you big tough guy you seem to know everything why dont you meet me somewhere and well handle this man to man ……..you let me know
ok mike you big tough guy why dont you meet me me somewhere you name the place and time ok big boy bring your friend to
ok mike you big tough guy why dont you and your buddy meet me somewhere im not dave . you name the time and place …..lets get this over with
Truth be told!!
What Mike says is true.
Dave is "AT BEST" a DECENT powerlifter. That being said his reputation seriously derates his physical performance. His actions as a human being is what he truly needs to work on!!
@ John Q – that’s good feedback. I haven’t seen any of these antics you and others have spoken about, so I’m not going to agree or disagree with you. He’s obviously left lasting impressions in a few places and on a few people. Let’s hope that as he ages, he matures – that is advice we all can take
I remember when I was in my 20s. ‘Nuff said. Thanks for the comments.
@ I wanna big bench – Mike, now that you’ve revealed yourself to be a powerlifter with 23 years under your belt, why did you lie about your experience on your very first comment here? You claim we’re frauds, but you’ve clearly been proven to be a liar.
So you’re new to the sport or have been in it 23 years? You want to train with Dave or you recently kicked him out of your gym?
This is the kind of shit that gets you marked as a SPAMMER – I only wish there was a “LIAR” button on WordPress!
Seriously, what’s your motivation for telling stories?
@big joe – I’m tired of the shenanigans about this post. Comments are closing. By the way, your comments were marked as SPAM – you must have done some silly shit on other people’s posts, too. Calling people out is so 7th grade…Not saying I’m perfect and I’ve probably pissed off more than a few people with my replies and actions with respect to this post/topic…but then again, it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want with it.
