Eggs are nearly perfect and if used for short periods of time (2-3 weeks), you can eat a lot of them each day. They're highly anabolic, nearly perfect in protein composition, and yield huge results in muscle gains when used appropriately.

Along with eggs, milk and the "flesh foods" (beef, chicken, fish, and pork) round out your muscle-building food.

Some trainers do very well by including 6-12 eggs a day in their diet along with the famous "gallon of milk a day" program. Of course, make sure you can stomach this sort of extreme diet and start slow. Follow this sort of diet regimen for 2-3 weeks at a time. No more.

I am a WHOLE egg man! Being an ectomorph and 42 yrs old, I need all the help that I can get in regards to adding muscle.  I have been able to put on 17 lbs. since summer @ 14% BF and eggs have been a huge factor in that. I also keep milk in my diet and quite a bit of peanut butter. Good luck.

  5. I agree with eggs, they are easy to make and so good for protein.

  6. whats the best way to turn fat into muscle?

  7. billspaced says:

You cannot directly turn fat into muscle. But you can mobilize (i.e., burn) the fat as fuel to use in your muscle-building workouts. The best program I’ve seen for this is Metabolic Surge by Nick Nilsson. He sets your metabolism on fire while setting the growth factors on alert. It’s a difficult program to follow because it kicks your ass, but this is what you need to do to accomplish this very difficult task – building muscle and burning fat simultaneously is extremely difficult. Ask a competition bodybuilder!

Yes, GOMAD is hard to stomach! But if you can deal with it (say "digestive enzymes"), it's a worthwhile endeavor. Vince Gironda used to prescribe all sorts of wacky diets to his students, including mixing half and half, milk, and protein powders, plus up to 3 dozen eggs a day for very short periods of time.

His results speak for themselves. He was totally against the use of drugs, but he was totally behind proper supplementation and nutrition.
