Muscle-Build Blog Theme Change

If you visit here often, you'll notice that the theme has changed on this blog. It wasn't by choice. I was forced. A while back, I bought what appeared to be a very customizable theme called Headway. It worked well enough until I tried to "upgrade." The new theme never reliably worked with this blog.

After much downtime, restores of databases, re-uploading of files, etc., I gave up. I literally wasted at least a day dealing with it.

You'd think with the prevalence of WordPress blogs that there would be a plethora of freely-available themes. Alas, that is the problem.

Too many choices!

It took me a while to settle on one. Last night, if you visited, you may have seen several different views of the blog. The one I settled on is simple. Very simple. Basic in fact.

That's kind of the focus of this blog, after all – Getting back to basics. Nice segue, huh?

Getting Back to Basics – whenever things get too complicated, just return to the basics. Nothing has changed over the past 100 years anyway, yet many of us are fatter, in poorer shape, more stressed out, and why?

Because life is too complicated. But WE make it so.

Gotta have a new car every year? Re-join a gym every January 2? Jump from one training routine to the next? New fad diet? It's really an old one redressed in new clothes.

Nothing has changed. We're the same animals as existed 50, 100, 200 years ago.

Yet we get less sound sleep, eat more processed food, have access to killer exercise equipment yet we're not really much stronger than we were decades ago.

So that's why I changed this theme: First, out of necessity. I really tried to make it work. But it didn't. Besides, it was too fancy pants. I'm getting back to basics, how about you?
