About MBB

You may be asking, why did Bill set up this blog? Well, most likely, I’m just like you. I had challenges with building muscle and gaining weight. I began progressive resistance weight training (aka, weight lifting) when I was 12. Most of that time, I barely put on any weight. I certainly got stronger and more defined, but I just couldn’t pack on any pounds.

And I tried everything.

I’m not kidding. EVERYTHING. I tried split systems, breathing squats, heavy weights, high reps, low reps, weight gain supplements, all sorts of nutritional supplements. Nothing worked.

Until I found The Secret (no, not the book). The Secret was all about the methods I used. The other methods I tried just didn’t suit my body.

So, when I was in my late twenties, I figured it out. I was eating too much sugar (those weight gain supplements are loaded with sugar), I was training too frequently, and I wasn’t changing up my exercise plans regularly.

You can read about all of my learnings on this blog and on its companion site, Muscle-Build.com.

If you’re a hardgainer like me, you’ll have to figure out your unique body and how it reacts to training, diet, and rest. You cannot simply pick up a book at Amazon by a professional bodybuilder and follow the advice therein.

You will fail.

You’re not a professional bodybuilder, just like you’re not a professional baseball or football player. You will never be Michael Jordan.

But you can be the BEST YOU CAN BE. I will show you how.

Stay tuned for a revolutionary muscle-building system that I’ll unveil shortly. It’s called the Hard Gainer’s Manifesto and it’s sure to give you the muscle gains you’re seeking.

Click on the “Subscribe Feed RSS” link in the upper right-hand part of the page. There’s a little RSS icon there, too.

  6. Its true – as an ectomorph, you have to do things differently. Not completely differently – but definately some tweaking is needed – and following the leadership of Arnie or Coleman won’t guarantee success.

  7. Also the reason those bodybuilders are able to work out so frequently is because they’re taking all kinds of crazy supplements and hormones :)

  11. This article speaks the truth :) You cant just read a book and get muscly, you actually have to work out.

  12. Great post!

Me personally, when I first started weight lifting, I didn’t have trouble putting on mass, my main issue was always trying to lean up, without losing muscle size.

I agree 100%. Every person has to figure out what works for them personally. And the first step, is devoting yourself and being willing to experiment.

I do believe the number of sites that strive to “grow their supporter base by communication” is literally becoming increasingly popular. Many people jumped into creating sites and posting without seeing the need for creating a connection with their viewers. Like you’ve here, congrats.
